Toes (3 Comments)

Filed under: Personalities — The Spider Herself @ 4:00 pm

It’s been quite warm here (finally- for a day or two) so The Col. put on some shorts and came out with bare feet.

“You have long nails!” Pixie commented right away.

“And big toes!” someone else added as all three heads crowded around to examine his feet.

The Col. looked up at me with a funny look on his face, shrugged, and said “I guess they don’t see my feet very often.”

That or we really need to get them out more.

  1. lol,
The things that fascinate kids. Gotta love it. Hopefully they will keep that enthusiasm for examining new stuff as they get older… just not toes.

  2. I tried to come up with a pithy way to say — what, need to get the toes out more often? — but that right there is the only phrasing I could conjure. It amused me, anyway.

The thought of papa and children barefoot every evening in the garden makes a friendly, domestic mental picture. Unless they are engaged in hand-to-wing combat with pheasants, of course. Then it’s less domestic and more funny.

But my husband would say I’m (still) the only one who gets a kick out of going tangential. 🙂

  3. LOL! Yes, I hope they retain enthusiasm for other things, besides toes.
I followed you KN. So far the garden is just a harbor for weeds so no bare toes to wing combat going on.
I guess that was part of the deal- the toes don’t get out very often. 🙂
