Prayers (3 Comments)

Filed under: Personalities,TG — The Spider Herself @ 4:23 pm

TG has progressed in her prayer life. She used to pray at meals like this:

“Jesus. Amen.”

As one person we know said, it includes many theological aspects and really is a complete prayer. But, we felt there needed to be some branching out in that area. She has now progressed to:

“Jesus, thank you for food on table in front of us, um, um, actually bless it. Help Mama’s hands feel better. Amen.”

I think, when she was referring to my hands that she meant some thing along the lines of “bless Mama’s hands” but she started saying that about the time a while back when I wasn’t feeling well. It sorta got mixed up.

This morning she progressed to:

“Jesus, thank you for food on table in front of us. Keep Papa on road as he go to hoffice.  Amen.”

  1. I love kids’ prayers! They are my favorite part of the day. They come up with some pretty cute thing to pray about at the dinner table.

  2. Oh, the fun memories … new and old! I distinctly remember a friend’s prayer (over chili) in which he thanked God for the snakes, and for winter so that we appreciated summer. And all this while dressed as a Mafia hit man with his dad’s trenchcoat and some kind of plastic weapon.

  3. How cute!

Liv does good with hers. Grace does “thank you for good day, for letting me play, please take care of grandpa and oh ya thanks for the food”. The reason she is praying is always the last thing on her mind!
